Privacy policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

Tanuki Labs LLC (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates VolleyCall. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information provided through our website (the "Site"), our phone-based AI and account services (the "Service"), and communications with us. "You" refers to a user of the Site or Service.

I. Information we collect

We collect information you provide to us and information generated through your use of the Site and Service.

1. Information collected through technology

When you visit the Site or use the Service, we and our service providers may receive information about your device, browser, IP address, requests, errors, and service usage. We also collect call connection and usage information.

The Site uses a session cookie for sign-in and browser security, and browser storage to save your appearance preference. Blocking cookies may affect your ability to use account features. The Site does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

2. Information provided through an account or the Service

Account information may include your phone number, name, verification status, and account membership. We process call audio and retain text transcripts and AI-generated summaries. Conversation content may include personal information you choose to provide. VolleyCall does not retain audio recordings of calls.

Billing records include plan details, service usage, and payment status. Payment details submitted through the payment setup page are processed by our payment provider. When you contact us, we receive your contact information and the content of your message.

3. Children's privacy

The Site and Service are intended for adults age 18 and older and are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@volleycall.com so we can review the concern.

II. How we use and share information

We use information to provide and maintain the Service, recognize callers, manage accounts and billing, generate AI responses, transcripts, and summaries, respond to inquiries and requests, and provide support. We also use information to address fraud, security, and technical concerns and to meet legal obligations.

We share information with service providers as needed to perform these functions. Voice and AI providers, including Twilio and Google Gemini, process call audio and personal information to support calls and generate AI responses and summaries. Stripe processes payments, and Metronome supports billing and usage management. We may use hosting and infrastructure providers, such as Fly.io and Amazon Web Services, to operate, store, and protect service data.

Provider processing and retention are subject to the applicable service terms and account settings. Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live.

Callers may access their own call history, transcripts, and summaries. Authorized Company administrators may access this information for support and operations. Paying for another person's plan does not grant access to that person's transcripts or call topics. The person paying can see the funded plan, charges, and remaining minute totals.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests, enforce agreements, address fraud or security issues, or protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, users, or others. Information may also be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business.

Retention of information

We generally retain account information, transcripts, and summaries for as long as you maintain an account with us, to provide the Service and your call history. We may retain certain information after account closure or a deletion request where needed for legal, tax, or accounting obligations, disputes, fraud prevention, or enforcement of agreements. Backup copies may remain until replaced or removed through our backup processes. Service providers may have separate retention requirements, and deleting information from VolleyCall does not necessarily remove all copies held by service providers.

III. How we protect information

We use account authentication and access controls designed to protect information against unauthorized access. These measures cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed without authorization.

IV. Your rights regarding the use of your personal information

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, receive a copy of, or request deletion of your personal information. To make a privacy request or request account closure, email privacy@volleycall.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained as described in this policy.

VI. Changes to our privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide notice of material changes through the Site or another appropriate communication channel. Please review this policy periodically for updates.
